PRETTY IN PASTELS

No other colour palette we adore more than Pastels for our spring-summer mood. Its inclusion on the list of spring 21 colour trends was undeniable. Romantic yet elegant lavender, fresh powder blues, pastel peach, blush pink and mellow yellows are back to revive your wardrobe.

TANGERINE

This bright colour has been around for many seasons. However, tangerine dominated spring 2021 runways. Designers at JW Anderson, Gabriella Hearst, Burberry, sportsman, among several others, used the vibrant orange hue to highlight silhouettes.

BLUE HUES

This perfect spring shade was particularly prevalent on monochrome silhouettes, flowy dresses, and long jackets on the Spring 2021 runways, evoking a feeling of calm and harmony.

DREAMY WHITE

The most elegant of them all, the colour of peace, freedom and purity also signifies fresh beginnings. Spotted profusely on the spring 2021 runways on several silhouettes, from tops, monochrome suits to romantic dresses.

BEIGE TONES

Beige is the new black! Earthy and neutral, this shade is irresistible and complements most skin tones gracefully. Neutral tones were ubiquitous on the Max Mara SS21 runway, the go-to neutral also seen in a manner of jackets, trousers, dresses and trench coats.

BLACK&WHITE

While the black and white colours were predominant on the spring 2021 runways, the monochrome B&W silhouettes were unmissable. The chicest trend this spring will be sleek black outfits with a splash of white.

VINTAGE FLORAL

Florals are a style staple, one the most seasonally relevant of all the spring/summer trends. Playful, vintage florals reimagined with lovely blooms seen on maxi dresses at Valentino, Ulla Johnson, Anna Sui, Etro, an 80s-inspired floral jumpsuit at Isabel Marant featured on Spring 2021 runways.

STRIPES

Stripes are a classic trend that has been popular on the runways of both the spring and winter seasons for many years. Spring 2021 runways saw bold and bright Bayadere stripes at Miu Miu, Awning stripes at Sacai, a beautiful Bengal striped maxi dress at Dior, to multicoloured striped crochet dress at Ulla Johnson.
